The definition for Auteur in the
English dictionary is, "a film director who influences their films
so much that they rank as their author." In the presentation below I
analyse the work of one director and compare and contrast two
music videos directed by him. The two videos are from different time periods,
one is quite modern whereas the other is from
over 10 years ago. These were good to compare as it shows how the
directors style may have changed, or how conventions of his work still remain.
Below here are the two videos in which you can watch and make your own interpretation of the two music video.
